Fast food is a rite of passage when living in the good old USA. We all love and crave it at one time or another throughout the day, week, month, or year. Even though we know that it’s probably not the most healthy thing we can consume. In any event we still stuff our pie holes with this fine U.S. delicacy. You may or may not want to continue eating this deliciously bad food after learning of these 10 things about fast food, that may cause your stomach to churn. And not in a good way.
10 Things About Fast Food That Will Make You Run To The Bathroom
1) 100 Cows
Your single delicious burger that you’re about to bite into from said fast food joint probably was made from the meat of 100 cows. Yum. To make sure that you don’t end up eating infected beef and getting sick, these burgers are given a chemical bath to make sure everything is killed off. Want a Big Mac now?
2) Perfect Chicken Nuggets
The chicken nuggets are mashed up chicken, skin and some fillers. They’re formed into 4 types of shapes – bone, ball, bell, boot. I may pass on chicken nuggets from now on.
3) The 115 Mile Rule
McDonald’s are everywhere. The farthest you can be from any McDonald’s is 115 miles away. There’s over 14,000 McDonald’s in the U.S. In contrast we only have 5,600 hospitals in the U.S.
4) Subway On The Rise
5) Brain Drain
Eating junk food has a bunch of effects on how your brain functions. You can make the analogy to putting the improper type of gas in your car. When you put junk food in your body your brain does not function efficiently, same thing when you put regular gas in your car, even though it calls for premium.
6) Crappy Drinks
Soda fountains are a safe haven for the nasty bacteria E-coli. Consuming E-coli is bad for you and can even be fatal.
7) Undying Patty
After being in a locked box for over two decades a McDonald’s burger patty shows no sign of molding. Much like a Twinkie can stay fresh forever. So, why eat something that lasts that long?
8) On The Subject Of Patties
Perfect grill marks on that burger are probably fake. You’ve grilled burgers before. When do you ever have perfect grill marks on your burgers? Never.
9) Warmed Or Stale Warmed
All food is cooked prior and put in a warming drawer. When a burger is ordered it’s taken from the warming drawer and re-heated. Is it easier to reset the timer on the warming drawer or cook more food? Are you getting fresh or stale food?
10) A Side of Toxins
All surfaces have to be cleaned frequently throughout the day. Which means if you’re one of the first ones in the restaurant to eat, you’ll more than likely be ingesting some of those cleaning chemicals. You can’t possibly rinse off all cleaning chemical residue.
