I am going to help you decipher the blogging jargon you encounter while trying to get your blog off the ground. I will explain these terms in a way that even a monkey could understand what I am talking about.
Blog Post – A blog post refers to what you write about. This is where you teach your readers how to solve problems in their business or how to incorporate your teaching so they can increase revenue. A blog post is a couple hundred words in length. Here is an example.
Category – Categories act as a filing system for your blog posts. Example. If my blog post is about “Marketing” I am going to add that blog post to the Marketing category. This allows for a reader to come to your blog at any time and see what blog posts you have written on Marketing.
Pages – A Page on your blog is where you have content that is always there, never changes unless you want to make changes. Take a look at my About page. This will give you an idea of what a “Page” looks like.
Comments – Comments are your reader’s thoughts on what you wrote and if they found it useful or not. I recommend you reply to your reader’s comments and thank them for their comments. This helps you build rapport which is vital to your success.
