Keep your blog simple, stupid. Why? Well so your reader can understand what the hell you are saying. Write in terms that a seventh grader can understand. If you’re talking about PPC, PPV, CPA, blah, blah, blah. Make sure somewhere in your post you spell that shit out. Because if I find your blog as you teach pay-per-click marketing make sure to tell me that. Don’t just write PPC, etc., etc. You cannot assume that everyone who reads your blog is a marketing savant
Here’s a real life scenario. I sell these instruments. Let’s say I meet you at a networking event and you ask me what I do and I say the following. I sell office-based electrophysiology which gives you early detection of glaucoma and other maculopathies to optometrists and ophthalmologists. And you say WTF does that mean? Can you translate for me? Sure. I sell an instrument to eye doctors that measures the function of your eye. Are you familiar with an EKG used in cardiology? Yes. Well this is an EKG for the eye. Keep it simple, stupid.
