How much traffic do you need to your affiliate offer to make money? Well that depends on what product you are trying to sell and how much it costs. Follow me through this example I am about to give you.
I used to sell a medical device to eye doctors that ranged in price from $50,000 to $85,000. In my territory I had 1,200 prospects to call on to try and sell the device to as did every other sales rep in the company. Each of us had a quota to sell 12 units per year. Now think about that for a second. 1,200 prospects to sell 12 units? Yup, you got it my friend you need that many prospects to sell those 12 units. Why is that? When it comes to high ticket items you need to have twice as many prospects to sell to due to the price of the product, and the long sales cycle.
Now apply this example to your affiliate product you are trying to sell. If the cost of your affiliate product is $2,000 you’re going to need twice as much traffic as opposed to a product that costs $50 or $100. Make sense? So if you needed 500 clicks to sell the $100 product, then you would more than likely need 1,000 clicks to sell the $2,000 product. The number of clicks are arbitrary in this example as I am simply pointing out you need more traffic to sell a high ticket item.
