In selling or marketing anything to anyone especially online people buy from those they know, like, and trust because they have a relationship with that person. Fact not opinion! If you are in the market for a car whose advice do you seek? A friend, family member, etc. You are definitely not relying on the slimmy car salesman, because he would sell his own flesh and blood to make a sale! He would not be looking out for your best interest.
Same can be said for finding a financial planner, accountant, on and on. I have found both of those via friends who again I have a relationship with. I trust them! So who do you ask for advice/recommendations before buying something? Friends? Family? Spouse? In-Laws? How often have purchased from or through someone they have recommended to you? A ton I bet.
In selling or marketing your products to prospects the same holds true. They buy what their friends buy and vice versa. But how do you build a relationship online? Offer solutions to problems, connect with your prospects. Ask them their opinion before you do something. For example make a blog post stating what you are thinking of doing and ask for their feedback. Make them feel special. People love to buy, but hate to be sold. Write that down, stamp it on your wrist, just don’t forget it!
Yes, the goal of any business is to sell, let’s not get that twisted. I am here to sell and you are here to learn to sell. Market your affiliate programs, and build a relationship at the same time. Trust me you can do it. May not be a walk in the park, but anything worthwhile usually isn’t!
