Go to www.leadpages.net
Click on Login
After you click on Login. You will be taken to the Login screen below.
Enter your Email and Password. Then click Login.
Once you have logged in you are taken to your account dashboard which looks like this.
So you’ll notice at the top in the blue bar it says TEMPLATES. There is a blue arrow pointing to down to All. Which means if you scroll down the page you can choose from all of the templates LeadPages has to offer. There are a lot of other template options (For Sale, Custom, Sales, Opt-In, Webinar, Upsell, Thank You, Pre-Cart, Other) to choose from simply by dragging your cursor from left to right and clicking on the templates you would like to see. All of the templates are sorted by Most Recent or by Conversation Rate which is unique to LeadPages. Here is screenshot below.
Let’s create an Opt-In page. Take your cursor and scroll over Opt-In like you see below.
Opt-In will highlight in blue. Click on Opt-In. Once you click on Opt-In you are taken to this screen.
There are a number of templates to choose from. Scroll down to see all of the Opt-In templates you can choose from. For the sake of this tutorial we are going to create a basic opt-in page. Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. Click on Basic Centered Squeeze Page.
After you click on Basic Centered Squeeze Page you are brought to this screen.
Select Marketing from the drop down box and click Save & Continue.
Now you are taken to the following screen and ready to begin creating your squeeze page.
There are a lot of buttons here so we are going to go through them one-by-one without giving you a popsicle headache.
Here is what full screen looks like.
Responsive means that this page is being optimized for a computer.
Tablet indicates that you are optimizing this page for viewing on a tablet. After you click on tablet here is what the page looks like.
To optimize the page for viewing on a phone – click Phone. After you click Phone this is what the page looks like.
Click on Page Name to give your page a name. Here is the screen you will see.
AB Test – For the sake of this exercise disregard for now. In another tutorial I will cover AB Test.
Publish – You do not need to use this button. Once you save the page it is automatically published.
Save – Click on Save and you will save the page.
Let’s go through the menu in the left side of the page starting with Lead Page Options.
When you click on Lead Page Options, here is what the screen looks like.
No need to change anything so click Done. Now Let’s walk through Lead Magnet. Click on Lead Magnet. Here is the screen.
You want an email sent after someone opt-ins in on this page. So click Yes. Then click Done.
Conversion Goal – For the sake of this tutorial it is not necessary to go through the Conversion Goal feature at this time.
If you move your cursor over Background this is what the screen will look like.
When you double click on Background you will taken to the following screen where you can change the Background image to whatever you want.
I am going to leave the Background alone for the time being.
When you move your cursor over Headline, this is what the screen looks like.
To change the Headline, double click on the blue area in the center of the screen. See below.
I changed the headline. Here is what it looks like.
Now let’s edit the Sub Headline. Here is a screen shot of where the Sub Headline is located.

On to editing the Description. Here is the location of the Description.

Let’s change the Button Text. Here is where the Button Text is located on the page.
Once you click on the Button Text, here are your options. See below.
Now you want to click on Link Options. As you can see my cursor is on Link Options and it is highlighted in blue. Here is the screen you see after clicking on Link Options.

Legal Information. Here is what I am referring to in the screen below.
For the sake of this tutorial we are going to leave this alone.
Privacy Text as you will see in the screen below, do not change.
