We’ve all been guilty of this at one point or another. Heck maybe you’re still guilty of it. What exactly are you referring to? Complaining. Complaining about what? Your job. Your constant moaning and groaning of your overbearing boss and insufferable co-workers you get the pleasure of seeing at minimum 40 hours per week. Not to mention the slave driving organization you currently work for with low pay, crappy benefits, and you see your co-workers more than your own family. Does all of this sound familiar? It should. So, in an effort to help you out we’re going to discuss 6 reasons why you should stop complaining about your current job.
Sound like a plan?
Let’s get after it.
You Should Really Stop Complaining About Your Current Job And Here Are 6 Reasons Why
1. It’s Bad For Your Health
What do you mean? When your job is top of mind and stressing you out to the max, quite a few things happen that are not conducive to good health. Not to mention it all starts with you complaining day in and day out to your spouse or best friend. Which are high blood pressure, excessive weight gain, stress eating, binge drinking, you develop a bad attitude and sometimes a bout with depression. Simply put you start drinking like a fish, crushing pizzas and any other junk food you can get your grubby little hands on while sitting on your ass and not exercising.
2. Nobody Cares
It’s sad, but true. This even goes for your better half. The reality is they’re dealing with these same issues that you keep whining about day after day after day and unfortunately could care less about your situation. Same goes for your best friend. They’re dealing with the same crap too, and while they can sympathize they rather not have to hear about it from you.
3. Wasted Energy
I can venture to guess you complain like a little school girl EVERY day. Which means all you’re doing is wasting energy. Energy you can’t get back, ever. It’s gone. So, instead of complaining about your pain in the ass boss and back stabbing co-workers put that energy to better use. Exercise, start a home project, do some charity work. Do something worthwhile, instead of wasting that energy bitching about your job.
4. It’s Just A Job
I mean really. Put it into perspective. Yes, you need a job to earn money so you can pay your bills, finance your retirement, and pay for little Billy and Sally’s college education. But, it’s just a job. Don’t take it too seriously or give it more of a priority than it deserves. I promise you if you work 16 hours in one day to complete all of your tasks, when you go in the next day, there will be a gazillion more tasks to do. So, pace yourself. No need to get your drawers in a bunch.
5. Find A New Job
Makes sense right? If you’re in a crappy situation working for Mr. Ass Hat, then don’t complain about it. Find another job, so you can quit this one. It’s like anything else. If you don’t like the situation you’re in stop complaining about it and get out of it. Pretty straightforward. And if you make excuses as to why you cannot get out, then you’re just being flat out lazy.
6. Your Job Does Not Love You Back
What do you mean by that? It does not make sense to get all wound up over a job that could care less about you. For example, god forbid you drop dead unexpectedly the sun will come up tomorrow and the world will carry on, and this includes your current employer. All they care about is themselves at the end of the day. Which is why you should not waste your precious time complaining about your job.
In summation do yourself and everyone around you a favor and stop complaining about your current job.
