So, why are we literally bursting at the seams?
Reasons Why Technology Made Us Fat And Lazy As a Society
Kids Aren’t Physically Active Anymore
With the invention of Smart Phones, kids don’t get outside and play with one another, which used to be the norm, when I was a kid. Instead they talk to their friends via text message. You probably got told to go play outside and not come back in until dinner time. That’s not happening anymore. Not only do they text message each other, they’re on Facebook as well. If you’re not physically active, you’ll get fat. Plain and simple.
Young Adults Do Not Communicate Face-To-Face Anymore
Again, with the advent of the the text machine and Facebook, younger people don’t even make the effort to pick up the phone and talk with one another. Pure laziness. Not to mention go to their friends house and talk with one another. I don’t know about you, but that could lead to serious issues down the road with those people as they may not know how to communicate with someone face-to-face or in a group setting.
You now have the ability to sit in your pajamas and do almost all of your shopping thanks to the internet. This even includes groceries with services like Blue Apron and Plated. You no longer have to physically go to stores, walk around and buy what you need/want then leave. So, that gives you more time to stuff your face with food that tastes good, but makes you fat and encourages you to be lazy.
