WIFM – what’s in it for me. which is what every prospect asks themselves when reading your blog post or ad about a product you are selling. You have to remember this phrase when selling anything online. The product you’re trying to sell has a feature and a benefit. The benefit is the WIFM for any product. For this exercise we will use a weight-loss supplement as an example.
Features -decrease in appetite, speeds up your metabolism, rapid weight loss.
Benefits – lean physique in 4 weeks, 6-pack abs, increased muscular definition.
You need to focus on the benefit of the product because that is what your prospects care about. The only reason you buy something as a consumer is for the benefit or the WIFM it is going to provide for you. Make sure your marketing efforts answer the WIFM for your prospects.
